Beginner Wheel Throwing - Workshop

Service Description

If you've always wanted to try out the potters wheel then our 3hr Beginners Wheel Throwing workshop is just for you. The workshop will kick off with an overview of the ceramic process, a brief demonstration of how to centre your clay, and pull a basic shape on the potters wheel by your instructor and then you're into getting your hands dirty for the remainder of the class. Don't worry, we'll guide you through the process and be there by your side to help you along the way. This class includes all materials, firing & glazing of one finished piece in our studio gloss white glaze. You will be able to collect your pot 4-6 weeks after your class. This workshop is a pre-requisite to our 3 week wheel throwing course. During this workshop we teach the basic skills you will need to complete the 3 week course, and also determine if you enjoy the process and are willing to commit to the longer course. Unfortunately, due to Workplace Health and Safety Regulations our studio is a strictly ADULTS ONLY workplace. We apologise for any inconvenience. PLEASE NOTE: We only have right handed wheels, that spin in the direction for right handed people. People who are left handed are still more than welcome to attend, however they will have to learn how to use the wheel right handed. Cancellation Policy: We have a strict 48 hour cancellation policy on all courses. These courses can book out weeks in advance, so to ensure a fair booking system we ask for more than 48 hours notice so we can offer the seat to another student.

Cancellation Policy

You are able to reschedule or cancel your bookings from your login page up to 24 hours before the start time of your class. Go to the 'Class Bookings' tab, click 'Login' in the top right corner, click on your profile and select 'My Bookings', select your class and choose to cancel or reschedule. All cancellations made after the 24 hour period, and no-shows to classes will not be refunded.
