Glazing Session

Service Description

If you have created work in one of our previous clay classes and your pieces have been bisque fired, you may now attend a glazing session. Using our studio developed glazes, turn your pieces into masterpieces. During this class you will learn: The glazing process The different types of glazes used in ceramics How to apply underglazes How to apply true glazes How to apply underglaze transfer sheets Once your pieces have been glazed and fired in their second firing of 1220 degrees celsius, you will be notified to come and collect them from the studio. They will now be waterproof, dishwasher, oven and microwave safe. We do recommend hand-washing as this is much gentler on your pieces. Glaze firing is charged at the end of this session at the price of $10 per kilo. CARING FOR YOUR PIECES: If using in the microwave or oven, avoid thermal shock by making sure they are room temperature before putting them in (never put a ceramic piece from the fridge/freezer into the oven). Please note, all classes have a minimum class attendance of 4 people to be able to run. You will be notified if class numbers have not been reached and the class needs to be rescheduled.

Cancellation Policy

You are able to reschedule or cancel your bookings from your login page up to 24 hours before the start time of your class. Go to the 'Class Bookings' tab, click 'Login' in the top right corner, click on your profile and select 'My Bookings', select your class and choose to cancel or reschedule. All cancellations made after the 24 hour period, and no-shows to classes will not be refunded.
